The Theatre
The auditorium seats 308, split between stalls and circle.
The unique performance area comprises an upper and main stage, as well as two recently remodeled side extensions. An interesting feature of our theatre is that it does not have a proscenium arch, rather like the Theatre Royal Plymouth’s Drum, the Barbican Theatre and the Wharf Theatre. This has allowed much flexibility in productions, as well as successful inventive experiment and a fresh approach to staging. The area remains flexible enough to stage traditional musical productions.
